15 Gripping Photographs of the Damage Wreaked by Tornadoes in the South
The plains, Midwest and the South were battered by no less than 20 tornadoes last week as severe storms caused heavy damage in Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Oklahoma and Georgia. Torrential downpour meanwhile brought flash flooding in Alabama as gusty winds rumbled through parts of the South. Tornadoes also touched down in various areas bringing down trees and rupturing the power transmission networks. Wet roads led to fatal car crashes while a train was derailed in Alabama. As harsh and violent weather continues to persist, we have collated some revealing images of the devastation this current severe storm system has brought about.
