The Plains states saw severe storms bringing down heavy rains, large hail and several tornadoes this Mothers Day Weekend. Numerous confirmed tornado touchdowns were spotted in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. We bring to you some of the most incredible photographs of this storm-filled Mothers Day Weekend which found itself at the receiving end of some extremely rough round of high winds, damaging hail and horrific tornadoes.
1 – Tornado Rips through Colorado
An EF2 tornado ripped through building and structures leaving at least five people injured north of Wray in Yuma County.
2 – Devastating Scenes
The tornado in Wray caused damage from County 37 to County 42 near Highway 385 which had to be shut down due to downed fences and loose livestock.
3 – Luck Favors the Brave
Fortunately the people who were in campers in this area survived as the twister did not toss the campers.
4 – Power Outages
Electricity poles and cables in the area were dismantled by the tornado.
5 – Damage Aplenty
Tornado ran through this farm in Weld County. No injuries were reported but all the cars were inside the shed.
